After about 3 hours we reach the village of Monjo where we will stop for lunch.<br><br>In the afternoon we leave Monjo for another 3 hour trek to Namche Bazaar.  The trail ascends gradually until we enter Sagamartha National Park when the path becomes a great deal steeper as we head towards Namche Bazaar.  The final push to Namche Bazaar will be our first real physical challenge of the trip.<br><br>Namche Bazaar, at 3446m was a busy post for trading between Nepal and Tibet, but now thrives on the trekkers that visit the region.  We will spend the night here.";

On the way to Khumjung we will have, weather permitting, great views of many of the peaks in the region, including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam.<br><br><B>Day 5 - April 14</B><br><br>This will be our first acclimatisation day and we will spend the day teaching the local children at the Hillary School about cricket.  The school was built by the Himalayan Trust in 1961 and will give us a taste of what the money we are raising can do for the region.";

In the afternoon the path steepens as we climb for a further 3 hours past the tree line and towards the traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche at 4343m.  Along the way we will have great views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam.<br><br><B>Day 8 - April 17</B><br><br>This will be our second acclimatisation and rest day. We will trek across the valley for about 2 hours to the village of Pheriche. This is on the same altitude. Here we will visit the Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) medical post. The  volunteer doctors here will give an educational lecture on acute mountain sickness. After a medical check-up of the whole group we will head back to Dingboche. Our HRA representative doctor will accompany us, and stay with us until the successful completion of the attempt.";

The trail begins easily until we head up the undulating glacial moraine and follow the trail towards Gorak Shep.<br><br>Gorak Shep is a large plateau at 5164m and is the highest place on earth where an official match of cricket can be played.<br><br><B>Day 11 - April 20</B><br><br>This day will be spent acclimatising and preparing for the cricket match to be held the next day.  We will probably spend a few hours walking to aid the acclimatisation process. This will be our opportunity to visit Base Camp or to catch the spectacular view of Everest from Kala Patta.<br><br><B>Day 12 - April 21</B><br><br>The Everest Test 2009, 20/20 cricket match will take place on this day.<br><br><B>Day 13 - 17 - April 22 - 26</B><br><br>We will begin our 4 day trek back to Lukla on this day.  We will be stopping at Pheriche, Khumjung (where we will donate the cricket kit to the Hillary School we visited on our way up), Phakding and Lukla before flying back to Kathmandu.<br><br><B>Day 17 - April 26</B><br><br>We will arrive back in Kathmandu in the early morning. A lunch-time press conference will be held at the Himalayan Rescue Association head quarters. Following that people can relax before the celebratory evening meal. The following day we will fly home.";
